About Me

Hello, I’m Enrica!

I received my B.S. in Psychology from Brooklyn College in 2018 and am currently a second-year PhD student in the Communication and Media program at the University of Michigan. I am really interested in the ways that women and minoritized communities are portrayed in media as well as how media influence the identity development of children, young people, and emerging adults (i.e., those between the ages of 18 and 25). My post-PhD plans include leading my own lab and/or research center, directing a RISE/MARC/McNair program, and working with lawmakers, policymakers, and film executives to help change the ways that women and historically excluded communities are viewed on and off-screen. Welcome to my blog and feel free to stay for a while!
